Marvellous location - easy walk to everywhere we needed. Also, it was close to an underground station. We had the superior queen room which was lovely sized and airy with baths.

The Cranley Hotel is in a fantastic location. In the heart of fine resteraunts and bars. The area felt very safe. Just a short 5 minute walk away through beautifully manicured streets is the tube station. I would love to return very soon.

Very cosy, pretty and English. Friendly and flexible staff. Great location close to Glouchester Road tube (convenient for Piccadilly line to Heathrow). Nice location tucked away from busy streets and still good services, shops and restaurants in a walking distance. No breakfast room but room service worked very well. Our room with a four-poster bed, a separate dressing room and a well-equipped bathroom was really beautiful and spacious.
The lobby was a bit shabby, however in a cosy way.

The Cranley Hotel's beautiful decor and cozy common areas. The staff were particularly attentive and assisted me with my luggage.
Improved attention to cleanliness is needed.

Excellent rooms - most spacious & well appointed I have stayed in in London. Interesting building & great location. Quiet & the stairs are good exercise! Breakfast could be Improved. Highly recommend.
Breakfast choices & quality a bit ordinary. Would have liked in room tea & coffee making facilities. Although they said there were free champagne & canapes In the evening, the arrangements for this were opaque - staff a little standoffish for this type of hotel.

Quiet location very convenient to 3 underground lines, shopping, restaurants, and pubs. Free wi-fi in rooms and lobby. Staff polite and helpful but reserved.
Getting a cup of cappuccino in the morning in the lobby costs 4.5 pounds - equivalent to us$7.50.

The location offers quick access to Kensington. The charming decor provides a unique vibe that stands out in a sea of bland hotel chains.
There's a serious lack of cleanliness, with carpets that look like they haven't seen a vacuum in ages. Basic amenities like a kettle seem to be a hassle to get-had to call reception only to hear the kitchen was closed. Ordinary offerings like breakfast fall short. Stale croissants and a toaster in the corner aren't what you expect from a place with such a prime address.

The Cranley was a lovely comfortably furnished small hotel more like a family home. A girlfriend and I meet up for a few days together in London at the end of a 2 month holiday overseas so we appreciated the large room we were allocated. We enjoyed the complimentary evening champagne and canapes at the end of a long day of shopping and/or sightseeing. It was also nice to have a complimentary computer which I certainly made use of. The hotel was conveniently located to a tube station so it made it easy getting around London.
One thing that I thought was a mistake was the choice of cream carpet throughout the hotel. Unfortunately it was stained in our room and part of the common areas therefore giving an impression of it being dirty. The other thing that was a bit annoying was we had a squeaky floorboard in our room and if one of us went to the bathroom during the night it invariably squeaked.

The location. The hotels maintenance regarding regular interior decor was shabby and not shabby chic. I always use bookings but have found some discrimination for this at times - one hotel the Hyatt Fishermans Wharf last year and the Cranley this year. I feel we were given inferior rooms because it is said to us on arrival in these hotels that we have booked through Booking com .We have stayed in other five star hotels booked through Bookings and have not had this problem.
Half of the hotel is renovated and the other half shabby - torn curtains worn out upholstery rising damp etc
